We are seeking a physical oceanographer with a research background
insmall-scale oceanography with an emphasis on ocean dynamics from
mesoscales to small-scaleturbulence. You will become a member of a
diverse team of inter-disciplinaryscientists in the Oceanic,
Atmospheric and Remote Sensing Sciences group. Ourmission is to
apply state of the art research to multi-faceted, complexproblems
of national importance. You will join our highly collaborative
team,bringing to bear your knowledge of ocean processes and
applying them tochallenging problems. You will play a key role in
the planning, execution andanalysis of complex sea tests to inform
our knowledge of the ocean, from largescale mesoscale features down
to small scale turbulence.
As a Physical Oceanographer at APL...
- You will apply fundamental oceanographic research techniques to
help tackle many challenging research and applied problems of
interest to the wide sponsor base that APL supports.
- You will carry out high quality data analysis for fieldtest and
laboratory efforts, including the use of modern signal
processing,statistical methods and software tools. You will present
