Reports to Trayline Manager. Supervises the work activities of
subordinate employees engaged in preparation, delivery, and
sanitation of patient food trays. Maintains quality control by
testing food for temperature, taste, proper portioning, appearance,
etc. Schedules employees within budgeted labor hours. Duties may
vary according to assigned area or shift.
Knowledge of clinical nutrition, food preparation services, and
High school education; high school diploma preferred.
One to two years clinical nutrition supervisory experience
Day, Full Time (40 hours)
5:00 am -9:00pm
Weekend shift required

Interpersonal skills for effective leadership of non-exempt and
bargaining unit employees, and to develop and maintain cooperative
working relationships with department and hospital staff.
Problem-solving skills necessary to deal effectively with routine
and minor problems occurring within area of responsibility. Ability
to prepare simple reports (e.g. incident and attendance reports),
perform arithmetic calculations, keep records, and supervise food
The analytical ability to schedule and coordinate work flow to
ensure efficiency and effective operations.
Required Licensure, Certification:
Works in an environment where there is exposure to hot
temperatures. Work requires the ability to handle hot items and
work around steam tables.
Work requires the use of safely equipment such as shoes and gloves
and protective outerwear such as aprons and hair nets.
Work requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of
time on hard floors.
Requires the ability to lift 20 pounds or more.
