Position Summary:The Operational Excellence Consultant is responsible for driving Northwest Hospital's culture of high reliability and continuous improvement serves as a subject matter expert for process improvement, project management, and change management to drive organizational priorities and strategy in support of organizational efforts to achieve zero harm. Responsible for supporting the creation and deployment of initiatives that support Northwest Hospital's High Reliability Framework including Lean Management Systems, annual departmental goals, and training on continuous improvement methodologies.Essential Functions:Facilitates spread of operational excellence culture throughout the organization and drive measurable business process improvement.Leads detailed Value Stream development, assessment, future state design and implementation strategies for initiatives within the scope of the strategic business area.Facilitates and supports multidisciplinary project workgroups by leveraging continuous improvement and project management best practices and tools.Collects, analyzes and presents data. Prepares and delivers presentations to communicate updates, recommendations and results to all levels of the organization.Assists process owners in implementation of improvements.Collects and analyzes process data, identifies opportunities, develops solutions, implements improvements and helps operational management ensure sustainability.Lead multidisciplinary teams that focus on improvement initiatives and strategic projects. Organizational Engagement, Coaching, Training Tasks:Assists departmental leaders in developing annual goals, performance metrics and huddle boards with measurable improvement goals to promote alignment with organizational/departmental priorities.Helps leaders develop communication strategies to engage front-line Team Members in departmental goals and improvement efforts.Provides leadership support to multidisciplinary task forces, committees, and councils as appropriate or assigned. In collaboration with leadership, sets internal clinical quality targets and helps create strategies to achieve and sustain improvement.Challenges leaders as necessary to develop an action-biased culture of continuous improvement and accountability to improve key metrics including growth, productivity, turnaround time, patient and physician satisfaction, asset utilization and supply chain management.Provides mentorship in the form of coaching, project support, huddle board best practices. and continuous improvement tools.Assists department leaders in developing their annual objectives with SMART improvement goals.Serves as a thought leader for the organization and provide change leadership to promote a culture of operational excellence.Conducts training of colleagues and team members in Lean Tools (including 5S, A-3, Standard Work, Kaizen, and other tools as deemed appropriate and necessary).Builds internal training materials for Operational Excellence.Promote and Develop Culture of Operational ExcellenceExemplifies the Lifebridge Health's SPIRIT values through daily engagements throughout the organization.Effectively collaborates while deferring to expertise in workgroups, project teams, and on improvement initiativesDemonstrates accountability, effectively builds trust, and develops positive relationships across the organization.Follows through on commitments. Communicates updates or issues to stakeholders throughout the organization.Maintains proactive approach to resolving project problems, escalates issues when necessary, and facilities decision-making.Participate in internal and external conferences, webinars, and workshops to stay abreast of industry best practices and promote professional development.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Healthcare Administration, Business, Engineering or related field)Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required. Black Belt preferred, or equivalent experienceDemonstrated experience in:Continuous improvement and the use of process improvement methodologiesProject managementFacilitating cross-functional improvement teamsData analysis and presentationLocation: LifeBridge Health -- OPERATIONAL EXCELLENSchedule: Full-time, Day shift
