Job Description:

Aventura at the Park - we are looking for high energy, caring and professional Medication Technician for our ALF.
-
Experience: -Medication Technician experience in an Assisted Living Facility preferred.

Medication Technician Job Functions:


Provides privacy for the resident
Checks for changes in orders and discontinued orders
Assists with self-administration of medication as assigned within the scope of practice
provides medication to each resident, staying with each resident until the medication is consumed and charts appropriately recorded
Maintains upkeep and cleanliness of medication carts, wipes down top of medication cart daily
Daily checks medication cart for upcoming expiration dates and notifies supervising nurse of all meds expiring
Responsible for maintaining an accurate narcotic log and verifying count with oncoming Med Tech
Notifies a supervising nurse at once if noting any adverse reaction of medication on resident
Notes significant changes in condition of resident
Communicates requests and problems to appropriate personnel
