Job Description:
General Summary of PositionControls quality and manages all
aspects of the Supply Chain information systems at acute care
facilities. Responsible for maintaining accurate MedStar business
unit supply level data, including location, bins, and reorder
information. Acts as the primary contact for supply conversions,
surgical system synchronization, and preference card assistance at
the business unit. Supports performance improvement teams and
utilizes business intelligence to drive positive change. Assists
with site-based supply chain training and audits departmental
procedures.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborates with ERP specialists to ensure accurate
translation of business process requirements.
- Contributes to department goals, adheres to policies,
procedures, quality, and safety standards, and complies with
regulations.
- Leads projects related to performance improvement.
- Manages site-specific improvement projects.
- Maintains facility-based supply chain systems, ensuring data
accuracy and providing regular utilization and compliance
reports.
- Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service teams,
meetings, committees, and community outreach as appropriate.
- Participates in user acceptance testing at the site level.
- Reviews business unit content regularly to ensure accurate data
capture and setup.
- Develops and enforces Supply Chain IS processes applicable to
the business unit.
- Ensures data quality and system synchronization accuracy at the
facility level.
- Provides business intelligence and training support to Supply
Chain staff and other key stakeholders.
- Resolves hospital-specific supply chain system errors.
- Collaborates closely with department heads and Supply Chain
staff to ensure procedural adherence.Minimum
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
required. One year of relevant education may substitute for one
year of work experience.Experience
- Experience with Peoplesoft or other ERP systems, SQL or query
writing, and supply chain systems (e.g., Pyxis, OmniCell, Par
Excellence) required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare environment
preferred.
- Healthcare operations experience preferred.
- One year of relevant professional work experience may
substitute for one year of education.Licenses and Certifications
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (preferred).
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) (preferred).
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
(preferred).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred).Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to translate business process requirements into best
practice system procedures.
- Develops action plans based on performance data.
- Facilitates team meetings.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, and other office
applications at an intermediate level.
- Effective verbal and email communication skills.This position
has a hiring range of $70,428 - $131,310.
