POSITION: -- Security Analyst LOCATION: -- Edgewood, MD/ APG STATUS: -- Full Time / Actively Interviewing TRAVEL: -- Up to 25% CLEARANCE: -- Require access to intelligence community facilities, data sources, and tools at the Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance level in order to perform assigned duties. + Requires access to TS/SCI tickets G, HCS, SI and TK. DESCRIPTION: -- + Serve as a liaison with representatives from DIA, DA Special Security Office, and other US DoD intelligence. + Ensure the safeguarding of all communications security. + Maintain access and control of all secure locations (e.g., Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) rooms, etc.). + Maintain an access roster for classified locations, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access. + Identify and implement security risk mitigation for the facility. + Establish security controls for access of visitors and issuing building badges. + Screen all required documentation and perform all related functions of physical security and access control prior to issuance of visitor badges for entrance to the facility. + Process and complete personnel security applications through the appropriate system for security background checks. + Complete requests for electronic fingerprints for final processing and conduct routine Joint Personnel Adjudication Systems (JPAS) reviews for status of personnel security clearance investigations. + Ensure all facilities' perimeter doors are secured at the end of duty hours. + Review system documentation and monitor internal closed circuit television systems as well as building alarm system effectiveness and functionality + Monitor alarm system effectiveness for classified locations (e.g., the SIPRNET Caf-, etc.). + Monitor the status of repairs and keep the Government lead apprised on the progress of all internal access control systems and locking devices. + Work with Government Security Specialists to ensure success of all security programs, making recommendations to improve security operations and briefing higher management on impact issues affecting daily operation functions. + Manage destruction procedures for Unclassified and For Official Use Only (FOUO) working papers for all facilities. + Respond to scheduled and unscheduled (i.e., emergency) events IAW the appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on a voluntary basis. + Drive Government vehicles as needed to complete job duties. + Successfully complete all training related to the assigned position. + Input DoD traveler's information into the Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS). + Perform security duties in all JPEO-CBD owned and operated buildings located in the National Capitol Region (i.e., Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD; Stafford, VA; Ft. Belvoir, VA; the Pentagon; and Ft. Detrick, MD) to support JPEO-CBD mission-essential functions. + Work an 8-hour shift from 0800 - 1630 in either building E2800 or E5101. + Serve as a liaison with representatives from DIA, DA Special Security Office, and other U.S. DoD intelligence agencies in the absence of the JPEO-CBD Special Security Officer. + Serve as alternate Special Security Representative, supporting the JPEO-CBD Security Office and fulfilling the following key roles during the establishment of the JPEO-CBD SCIF: + Assist to implement and manage day-to-day administration of SCIF security + Assist and provide advice on SCI program management and policy, plans, and operations integration + Report directly to the Director of SSF regarding operational issues, SOPs, etc. + Ensure the safeguarding of all JPEO-CBD communications security + Maintain access and control of other JPEO-CBD secure locations (i.e., SIPRNET rooms) + Processing new investigations and periodic reinvestigations + Determining clearance eligibility based on adjudication history + Running routine JPAS report + Maintaining an accurate PSMNet + Processing collateral and SCI visit requests + Serve as an Access Control Point, responsible for entry requirements, physical security, and force protection measures required to grant access to personnel entering the JPEO-CBD facilities. Responsibilities include: + Identifying and implementing security risk mitigation for the JPEO-CBD facility + Establishing security controls for access of visitors and issuing building badges + Processing and completing personnel security applications through the Personnel Security System for security background checks + Completing requests for electronic fingerprints for final processing and conducting routine reviews of JPAS for status of personnel security clearance investigations + Maintaining an access roster for classified locations, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access + Screening all required documentation and performing all related functions of physical security and access control prior to issuance of visitor badges for entrance to the facility + Ensuring all perimeter doors of JPEO-CBD facilities are secured at the end of duty hours EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: -- + Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related discipline, as well as five (8) years of general experience and three (5) years of relevant experience. + Alternate/Tradeoff Requirement: possess an Associate's degree or professional certificate in Business Management or a related discipline (e.g., Defense Security Services (DSS) certification, etc.), as well as seven (10) years of general experience and five (7) years of relevant experience + Possess a valid state Driver's License. + Possess detailed knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Army (DA) security programs areas, to include personnel, physical, information, and operation security, as well as systems and processes related to security (e.g., JPAS, e-Qip, Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Adjudication and Security Clearance Process, etc.). + Possess detailed knowledge of DoD, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and Department of the Army SCIF daily operational functions and procedural requirements. + Possess a valid state Driver's License. + Possess detailed knowledge of DoD and Department of the Army security programs areas (i.e., Personnel, Physical, Information, and Operation Security). + Possess detailed knowledge of DoD, DIA, and Department of the Army Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) daily operational functions and procedural requirements.
