Your Day-To-Day ResponsibilitiesWorking with internal and external resources, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating leads, advancing the sales process, closing new business and achieving sales goals.

  • Adheres to and advances the safety culture of Total Plastics Intl., and is accountable for the safety of their crew.
  • Expedite the sale and delivery of products to customers by initiating contact, quoting prices, securing materials, and preparing sales orders.
  • Regularly follow up with established customers to discuss potential sales opportunities, educate customers on new TPI capabilities, and resolve customer inquiries or issues to meet customer needs.
  • Solicit new customer base by generating and utilizing new sales leads to develop new accounts. Proactively complete prospecting phone calls to new and inactive accounts to grow our market share.
  • Ensure a quality process in quoting prices by initiating follow up to determine if an order has been accepted, evaluating the circumstances when an order is not secured, and developing plans for securing future orders based on best quotes to enhance opportunities for a favorable buying decision.
  • Facilitate growth with our custom order product line by assisting with fabrication job design, subcontracting fabrication, and production scheduling.
  • Develop cross functional relationships with TPI team members involved with outside sales, shipping, fabricating, and purchasing to expedite the delivery of product and focus on meeting customer requirements.
  • Manage long term strategies and planning in regard to slow moving material/obsolescence initiatives, approving RMAs, making educated decisions regarding customer program pricing, account credit limits and holds.
  • Actively order stock direct from suppliers and manage blanket orders through informed sourcing and selection strategies.
  • Leverage mills on large quote opportunities
  • Prepare sales reports to ensure effective sales administration and provide KPIs for decision-making.
  • Maintain excellent customer service to keep clients and internal customers informed of any related changes to processes or orders.
  • Utilize and improve all standards of work, including current processes, to industry best practices.
  • Utilize software such as SalesForce (CRM), Epicore (ERP), Government Websites, and Microsoft products to manage accounts and logistical information.
  • Serve as support to the Outside Sales Representatives or Branch Manager by completing any and all appropriate activities that contribute to Total Plastics overall success in their absence.RequirementsIs this opportunity right for you?To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Effective communication, team orientation with customer centric service focus and sense of humor. Previous industrial distribution experience in sales or customer service preferred.
