About the Position Job Title: Behavioral Health Social Worker

Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience in providing inpatient

collaborating with healthcare providers Description: The Behavioral
Health Social Worker will perform psychosocial assessments. They
will collect collateral information regarding patients.
Collaboration with providers on diagnostic impressions and
treatment plans is essential. The Social Worker will contribute to
daily treatment rounds and huddles. They will provide individual
therapy and lead group therapy sessions. Family meetings will also
be part of the role. Collaboration with discharge coordinators for
follow-up care and planning is required. The average length of stay
for patients is 4.5 days. The Social Worker will conduct
evaluations for voluntary and involuntary patients. This includes
assessing individuals presenting with psychiatric concerns. The
role involves crisis intervention and support for patients and
families. The Social Worker will assist in coordinating outpatient
care if required. Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and prior
authorization processes is beneficial. The position requires
working with a multidisciplinary team for continuity of care.
Maintaining documentation that reflects understanding of coverage
