In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of information systems that support our mission-critical national security programs. This position requires a deep understanding of IT security protocols, system administration, and risk management. The ISSO will collaborate with IT teams to develop comprehensive security policies, oversee the implementation of protective measures, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with federal regulations. Develop, implement, and administer comprehensive information security policies and procedures. Oversee the certification and accreditation of systems under various federal mandates, ensuring compliance with government standards. Conduct regular system audits to detect potential security weaknesses and respond to all security breaches. Manage the development and enforcement of information security guidelines to ensure the integrity and secure operation of the deployed systems. Collaborate with IT departments to specify and deploy new/updated security technologies and measures. Serve as a key point of contact for all internal and external audit and regulatory review processes. Train and guide staff on information security measures and best practices. Thorough knowledge of federal information security policies, directives, and standards such as FISMA, NIST, and RMF. Strong experience in system security administration, preferably within federal government projects. Expertise in vulnerability assessments, threat analysis, and reporting. Proficiency in security systems including firewalls, anti-virus software, patch management, intrusion detection, and encryption. Strong analytical skills and ability to address issues using a logical, systematic approach. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification and Accreditation Professional (CAP) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) CompTIA Security
